How many weddings have you been the Wedding MC for?
In all honesty I’ve lost count, but somewhere between 600-800 weddings.

How do we go about booking your Wedding MC services?
The good news is, it’s a stress free process. Once I receive your initial enquiry via email or phone, I confirm my availability for your wedding day. If you’re both happy with my style after watching my video and would like to proceed with me as your Wedding MC you then have the option of a face to face meeting or FaceTime/Zoom chat session, it’s not necessary but totally up to you, most couples prefer an in person meeting before the big day. To confirm the booking officially I email you a Booking Confirmation Form, which contains room for you to fill out guest of honour names, speakers, special requirements, etc – this form will need to be filled out and emailed back to me prior to your wedding day. This form also acts as our official contract and a small deposit will need to be made to secure the booking.

What is your MC style?
I’m a versatile Wedding MC who adapts to the environment, every wedding celebration is unique, and I work each event accordingly. If it’s a 550 guest Arabic wedding with loud drums and a large bridal party with big entrances, then I create the hype before hand, working with the Wedding DJ or Band to ensure maximum atmosphere when the action starts. Alternatively an intimate gathering requires a more delicate approach, different voice dynamic in delivery and a lot more eye contact with guests. My delivery behind the Mic is natural, entertaining, captivating and at the same time assertive when I need to be. I believe less is more, focusing on words and complementing tones and pauses to capture a moment without overkill or dragging on, when I speak it’s genuine and I make sure my words hit an emotional chord among the guests. Although it’s a serious job where professionalism is key, my style is also chilled, fun and easy going, at the end of the day it is your day, I’ll definitely deliver for you, just without the stress. One thing, however, I do insist on is silence for the important parts of the celebration, the speeches especially, it’s a skill I’ve developed over the years, and whether it’s 80 guests or 700 guests, I make sure you can hear a pin drop and all eyes are on me. If you haven’t already done so, watch my video which will give you a good idea of my speaking style.

What have you learned from being a Wedding MC at so many weddings?
I guess after all these years, and having the responsibility of Wedding MC for so many special couples, being a great MC is more than just delivering behind the microphone, no doubt getting peoples attention and creating atmosphere when it counts is super important, but more than that, it’s about being there for the couple on that day. Reading the flow of a night takes experience and thankfully it’s something that has become second nature to me, so making sure the bride and groom are enjoying themselves in that flow is what I’ve learned ~ recalling a past wedding, prior to the main course the bride and groom were having family photography, and due to poor weather it got pretty stressful for them, especially the bride. So I made a call to delay the speeches a little so she could have 15mins of quiet time, away from the action. So I organised a peppermint tea and she chilled with her chief Bridesmaid in the bridal suite. She was super thankful and ended up dancing all night.

Do you tell jokes or scream on the mic?
This is a common question I get from couples. Over the years of attending weddings most people have seen a variety of Wedding MC’s, those with a style they like and others with a style they don’t. I make it clear to all my couples that I’m not the star of the show…you are. I will throw in humour every so often depending on the vibe of the night, or if the moment warrants it, I’ll create the hype, but no, I don’t go out of my way to poke fun or try to get extra laughs with long winded jokes or deep advice on marriage. I keep my delivery short and sweet while still capturing moments when it counts, and creating a fun and happy atmosphere.

Do you have relationships with any other suppliers in the industry?
I’ve definitely formed some great relationships over the years, and ofcourse worked with a lot of photographers, videographers, dj’s, bands, entertainers and wedding venues. I’m happy to offer referrals and supply information of reputable professionals in the wedding industry.
